In January 2025 the Virginia Tech College of Architecture, Arts, and Design communications team started a website redesign. The team consisted of the director, digital communications manager, and visual content creator. Together, we planned, wrote and photographed new content, designed, implemented, and launched by October. I was heavily involved in the planning, strategy, and implementation process. I made all of the updates in Ensemble (our content management system) and worked to make sure all content was accessible across devices.
When the Virginia Tech College of Architecture, Arts, and Design restructured in July 2022, I led a phased launch for four newly independent yet brand-aligned school websites (Architecture, Visual Arts, Design, and Performing Arts). My role included strategic planning, coordinating with academic leadership and technical teams, and ensuring visual consistency across multiple domains. The result? A smooth transition that upheld the college’s identity while giving each school a distinct digital presence.
Special thanks to Brad Soucy for partnership and leadership on all websites, Chris Morgan for strategic vision on the Architecture and Design websites, and to Patrick Finley and Amanda Lechner for collaboration on the School of Visual Arts website.
Commissioned to design a digital poster for the Creative Technologies MFA program, I paired bold typographic elements with digital textures to reflect the program’s forward-looking, experimental ethos. From concept to final layout, I managed visual hierarchy and file optimization for both web and print sharing. The poster became a key asset in recruitment outreach and departmental communication.
